Every year the Sabha organises a Yajna for World Peace which involves non-stop ahutis and the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra for six hours.

This year the Vishva Shanti Yajna was held on 24th June at the Vedic Centre in Papatoetoe, Auckland.

The Yajna started at 6am ending at 12pm. The young and old alike braved the cold weather and attended this great annual function in huge numbers filling the current Vedic Centre to beyond full capacity. The yajna programme was followed by delicious vegetarian lunch prepared by the Arya Women's Association.

With the Vedic Trust Building project underway, the Sabha is expecting an even bigger turnout for next year!
